First week of school and just spent last night sitting in Nicky's 7th grade orientation in his chair at his desk..  listening to his teacher. Yarom was writing me notes- writing names of sandwiches (burgers) and passing them to me.  Anyway.  The teacher is cool and smart and funny... but it is hard it is to sit still in a small chair for 2 1/2 hours.  

Her powerpoint presentation started with a family photo and I said "she looks so much like her mom."  Yarom was like "god are you stupid. It's her."  OOPs. 

Amazing how you have to fill out all those forms every year.

OK--weird.. why did this post format differently..?

K... Yesterday the moon was full here in Seattle, and Yarom and I were thinking about the last full moon when we were in Greece-- up late & it was huge and low and glowing yellow and we were in a different world.  I am still thinking about arriving to the house in greece and our friends planted tons of flowers everywhere and the olive trees are growing and it was just the best transition as I'm making the move from Windows & Vista to MSR... gave me space to think and time to hang with friends and the kids and Yarom.  This is the view up from the pool.  Another world.
